The sodality with the Compagnia Marionettistica Carlo Colla & Figli which every year enriches the Piccolo's programme with prose, opera and dance through the enchanting interpretations of the "wooden actors" is once again renewed. This year's Christmas show is one of the most loved of fairytales, "Puss in boots", staged in féerie style (with recited parts alternated with sung and musical parts).

Puss in boots is, along with Excelsior, one of the greatest successes for the Carlo Colla & Figli Marionette Company: shown for the first time in 1911, it ran at the Milanese Teatro Girolamo until 1957 (the year of the closure of the famous theatre, a veritable puppet-sized “bonbonnière”) and since its return to the stage in 1987 it has until now had over four hundred recitals in Italy and Europe.
Based on the fairytale of the same name by Charles Perrault but “reworked” by Carlo Il Colla for marionettes in the form of a féerie (or rather with acted parts alternating with singing and music), Puss in bootsis a rich and lavish production, with a staging which recreates a fairytale atmosphere.
Duration: One hour and 15 minutes
