La voce dei rifugiati politici. Pensieri, musica e canti is the result of a workshop conducted byMassimo de Vita and Enzo Biscardi from the Teatro Officina with political refugees staying in Milan with the support of the Department of Services for Adults and Immigration Policies of the Milan City Council.
This experience, the second edition, uses the theatre as a tool for communication, producing an original and unusual work in the panorama of social theatre, a practice with which the Teatro Officina has been experimenting for decades.
After a particularly difficult year for them and for the social services looking after them, the refugees take to the stage where they present their humanity, revealing aspects which escape journalistic accounts. Here they give voice to their experiences with thoughts, music and song, sharing their journey with the audience.
