"Memoria e presente del teatro: dialoghi al Piccolo di Milano (Memory and present of the theatre: conversations at the Piccolo di Milano" is the title of the two-day event organised by the Piccolo and the CUT (University Council on Theatre) with six protagonists of the Western scene and theatrical study - Ludwik Flaszen, Ferruccio Marotti, Giulia Lazzarini, Carlo Sini, Giuliano Scabia and Beatrice Libonati – living testimony of the tradition and immaterial heritage of theatre.

Following on from the Memoria dell'effimero day dedicated last January to theatrical archives, the Piccolo and CUT (University Council on Theatre) are promoting one of the two days of meetings with people from the world of Italian and international theatre entitled Memoria e presente del teatro: dialoghi al Piccolo di Milano.
Taking part will be six authorities from the Western scene and the world of theatrical study - Ludwik Flaszen, Ferruccio Marotti, Giulia Lazzarini, Carlo Sini, Giuliano Scabia and Beatrice Libonati – living testimony of the tradition and immaterial heritage of theatre, who will converse with university professors and young students from the CUT. It will be a true exchange of memories with different points of view and perspectives on past experiences and events which are still fundamental for an understanding of the present.
The differing ages of the interviewers lead to a retrospective and conscious examination of the past, retracing the story of the dazzling period of the second half of the 20th century. Through these meetings, theatrical archives become living archives, affectionate and emotional, nostalgic and passionate, for that unique artistic experience which is the passing on and testimony of memories through the spoken word.
