L’essere per l’amore, published by Mimesis Edizioni, is a new book by Franco Ricordi, a philosopher whose background is a fundamental artistic experience in the world of theatre.
A work which highlights a new field of Western thought which goes beyond the theorised nihilism of Nietzsche, Heidegger and Severino to reflect on Love, a theme which only a few great poet-philosophers really understood (including Dante, Shakespeare, Leopardi and Kleist).
The book also contains two sections which Franco Ricordi defines asaesthetica and ethics: “The first examines “La crisi del verso endecasillabo (The crisis of the hendecasyllable verse)” and also makes reference to my first theatrical master Luca Ronconi. The second, “Amore e Sovrapolitica”, examines, also with reference to Jaspers, the relationship between ethics and politics in our era. 8 March is a very significant date for the presentation of this book, being not only “women’s day” (to which I dedicated my last book, Filosofia del bacio), but also the anniversary of the birth of Luca Ronconi, who we will certainly speak much of during the discussion”.
