"Bach, le Cantate di Mühlhausen" is the title of the discussion held by Raffaele Mellace in preparation for the concert by the ensemble Gli Angeli Genève organised by the "Società del Quartetto" as part of its current season.

Raffaele Mellace will speak of the Cantatas written by Johann Sebastian Bach in Mühlhausen, where he briefly stayed at the beginning of his career.
The programme, which will be played by Gli Angeli Genève, conducted by Stephan MacLeod, in the concert on Tuesday 23 February 2016 at the Conservatorio di Milano includes Gott ist mein König BWV 71, the first cantata written by the Lutheran maestro and the only one to be published during his lifetime.
Raffaele Mellace, associate professor at the Università di Genova, regularly collaborates with concert institutions as well as national and European opera companies. He is the author of numerous articles, essays, reviews and important books, including the detailed study on Bach's Cantatas, closely tied to the Settimane Bach, the Quartetto's ten-year project on the entire collection of Bach's cantatas.
