Teatro Strehler
Following The Nuckcracker at Christmas, the young talents of the Scuola di Ballo Accademia Teatro alla Scala return to the stage of the Teatro Strehler with the traditional institutional show, an end-of-year appointment which symbolically closes the academic courses. It consists of a choreography created by Frédéric Olivieri which involves all of the pupils, highlighting the techniques that the young dancers, from the first courses right up to the graduates, have learned, as well as a number of choreographed pièces chosen from the classic, modern and contemporary repertoire, a veritable test for the older students: from Petipa, Ivanov, and Bournonville to the maestros of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, such as come George Balanchine, Maurice Béjart, Mats Ek, William Forsythe, Jirí Kylián, José Limón, Roland Petit, and Angelin Preljocaj.
Duration: One hour and 30 minutes with interval
