A most elegant piece, both post-dramatic and multimedia, which tells of a century of Chinese architecture through the stories of two couples divided by almost a century. One story is of Liang Sicheng, the father of modern Chinese architecture, and his wife Lin Huiyin, the first female architect in China, who dedicated their lives to the conservation of the country's architectural heritage. The other is that of Zhang Xin and her husband Pan Zhiyi, two construction magnates who introduced a new, speculative concept of urban development in their country.
