On the occasion of the staging of Virgilio brucia at the Teatro Studio Melato from 26 to 31 January 2016, the Piccolo has organised a discussion with the Anagoor theatrical company to study in depth the creation of the script, the play, and their work. Taking part will be Oliviero Ponte di Pino.
Beginning with the works of Virgilio, above all the Aeneid, but also theBucolics and the Georgics, the Anagoor theatrical company has created a play which is also inspired by other writers, both contemporary and non: from Hermann Broch to Emmanuel Carrère, from Danilo Kiš to Alessandro Barchiesi, from Alessandro Fo to Joyce Carol Oates. The play presents various forms of communication beyond prose, music, song and video – fundamental elements of many of Anagoor's productions, as well as multilingualism, for a play in which the actors perform in many languages, including Latin. All aspects which will be examined during this event.
