Created for younger audiences, a show which examines the theme of immigration and the suffering that forced exile brings, taking from popular fables, to lead younger spectators to reflect on a theme which is part of their daily lives.

Inspired by an age-old English nursery-rhyme which tells the story of an old woman with a horde of children, forced to live in a shoe, this play tells the story of a young emigrant who, forced to flee from her country, takes on a long and dangerous journey in search of refuge in a foreign land, a place where she can finally live, safe and protected. The play has been created for first grade secondary school children and touches on the themes examined in A Bench on the Road - misery, fear, difficulty, discrimination, integration - adapting them for younger audiences.
