Flavio Albanese once again takes on the role of Ulysses to lead the audience on a voyage through the myth, an inexhaustible source of inspiration and a key element in stimulating the future by re-reading the past. Monstrous, divine and powerful creatures come back to life with the shadows of Emanuele Luzzati, staged by Teatro Gioco Vita.

Canto la storia dell’astuto Ulisse is a classic in the programming that the Piccolo Teatro dedicates to younger audiences, demonstrating that the strength of legends, even in the 21st century, is capable of providing new keys to understanding our past, directing our future.
Flavio Albanese’s re-visiting of the adventurous story of the Odyssey, rich with discoveries, which begins at the end of the Trojan War and follows the trials of the Achaean hero throughout the long years of peregrination in the Mediterranean, right up to his return to Ithaca: a voyage which becomes a metaphor for the journey that each of us makes both internally and externally during our very existence.
The narrative thread passes through the most well-known episodes and characters of Homer’s poem - Polyphemus the giant, the Sirens, Circe the sorceress, Argos the dog, Telemachus, and, obviously, Penelope - whose images are evoked by the shadows created from the props by Emanuele Luzzati, created by Teatro Gioco Vita.
