Milano Flamenco Festival, the most important Italian festival on the culture of Flamenco celebrates its first ten years with an extraordinary three days of international events. The special 2017 edition retraces the milestones in the history of the Festival: three guest companies from the first editions, which have in the since then reached the heights of the international scene, will be staging their new productions. The Manuel Liñán Company presents Reversible, the Olga Pericet Company is staging La espina que quiso ser flor o la flor che quiso ser bailaora, and the Rocio Molina Company presents Caida del cielo!
Reversible is an explosive show, acclaimed in the most important theatres worldwide. Anchored in the deep roots of flamenco and accompanied by a parterre of exceptional musicians and dancers, Liñán guides us on an emotional journey through primordial memories and infantile games which lead the performer to rediscover their first impulses, a visit to the centre of themselves, where the essence of existence lies. Manuel Liñán, enfant prodige of flamenco, is one of the most successful artists on the international scene. He passes from solo roles ot collaborations with emerging artists, and in 2008 he made his debut as director, choreographer and performer, receiving an Award as a Revelation. He is sought by important companies for his talent as a choreographer, including the Ballet Nacional de España, for which he choreographed a number of pieces in recent productions.
