A great jazz festival, the MitJazzFestival, opens the 19th edition of “Jazz al Piccolo - Orchestra Senza Confini”: protagonists of this second appointment are the guest soloists Luigi Bonafede, Fabrizio Bosso, Daniele Cavallanti, Franco Cerri, Antonio Faraò, Roberto Ottaviano. Conductors Paolo Silvestri, Enrico Intra
Teatro Strehler
MITJazzFestival opens the nineteenth edition of Jazz al Piccolo - Orchestra Senza Confini with, as protagonists, twenty of the most important Italian jazz musicians of all time, the guests of the first two editions of Italian Jazz Graffiti (in 2000 and 2001), in which each of them played, with the Civica Jazz Band, a piece with an original arrangement created around the characteristics of the orchestra and the soloist. A formula which will be proposed again over the three days, almost always with the execution of the piece contained in the double CD Italian Jazz Graffiti, a testimony of the two legendary evenings.
Jazz al Piccolo
The second day of the MITJazzFestival will involve, together with the orchestra conducted by Enrico Intra and the guest Paolo Silvestri, an exceptional cast of guests with differing stylistic tendencies, each playing their own compositions or arrangements. Of particular importance is the presence of the dean of Italian jazz players, Franco Cerri, while contemporary mainstream is represented by Luigi Bonafede, Fabrizio Bosso and Antonio Faraò, the more radical line by Daniele Cavallanti, and the world of European Jazz by Roberto Ottavino, completing a programme of the highest level, characterised by the variety of the music proposed.
On the occasion of MitJazzFestival, the foyer of the Teatro Strehler will be hosting an exhibition dedicated to the caricatures by Adreas Strizzi "Evolvendo in Jazz"
