The pupils of the Accademia Teatro alla Scala Ballet School, directed by Frédéric Olivieri, return to the Piccolo with the end-of-year performance. An almost ten-year collaboration between the two Milanese institutions which has brought promising young dancers to the stage of the Strehler, many of whom go on to join prestigious companies, beyond that of the Scala, both in Italy and abroad. A testing ground for the young and very young dancers, the ballet opens as per tradition with Préséntation, choreographed by the same Olivieri specially for all of the pupils, which highlights the study courses and the technical ability acquired over the years, to then continue with pieces by some of the most important choreographers of the 19th and 20th centuries, alternating choreographies of classic, academical dance with pieces of modern and contemporary dance, from George Balanchine to Maurice Béjart, from Mats Ek to William Forsythe, from Jiří Kylián to José Limón, from Angelin Preljocaj to Roland Petit.
