Zingaretti directs and performs in The Pride: two distinct stories, which alternate, scene after scene, set in different years, with apparently nothing in common, a part from the names of the three protagonists and the same actors which play them. As the stories unravel, however, just like in an enigmatic game of mirrors, they create reflections and references, all around the theme of identity.

Luca Zingaretti directs and performs in The Pride, a text created on the alternation between two distinct stories which take place in different periods: 1958 and 2015.
At first sight, they seen to have nothing in common, except for the names of the characters. But as the two stories slowly unfold, echoes, references and similar problems come to light. In both, the three main roles, as well as sharing the same names, are played by the same actors, to underline how the characters in one story are the shadows of those in the other. The actions of the three protagonists in 1958 influence and explain those which take place in 2015. The Pride explores themes such as destiny, love, loyalty and forgiving. It presents important questions regarding identity and the decisions which determine the most profound aspects of our personality.
Because in life, sooner or later we all find ourselves facing the same dilemma: to discover who we really are, what we really want from life and answer the question of whether we are able to reach our objectives.
Duration: 2 hours and 25 minutes with interval
