A man who, like many nowadays, loses his job. And with it he gradually loses his own role in society, his own identity. A descent into an abyss which can end only in the moment in which, forced to ask himself how and why he ended up in this situation, the man is forced to face up to himself, his own conscience, his own soul or perhaps his own obsessions.
Teatro Grassi
With the Compagnia Dammacco’s own special language, the tale is told of a man like many others nowadays, an insignificant man who has lost his job and who, gradually, loses his own role in society until he loses his own identity, until he feels abandoned and alone, even in his city, feeling himself finally forced to ask himself how and why he ended up in such a situation. And thus the audience can participate in the clumsy and grotesque attempt by this man to overcome his situation in a surreal dialogue with himself, with his conscience, with his soul, or perhaps just with his own obsessions. The languages chosen are those of surrealism and humour, which are able to provide visions of the lives of all of us in a transfigured form which highlights the contradictions and suggests a number of questions on our way of living.
