Little Europa is a performance which takes its lead from the work Little Eyolf by Henrik Ibsen.
The characters are an important Scandinavian woman, her immigrant husband from Southern Europe and their son, a little boy afflicted by a strange and mysterious illness: a little monster which is the cause of frustration and depression for the couple. A narrator who accompanies the performance and who gives it a fable-like tone tells us that the name of that child is Europa and this allows us to carry out a symbolic transposition, to exploit the trials of this unfortunate family to examine the concept of union and express it in a broader sense.
Little Europa examines the stereotypes which define the differences which exist within the European community, leading to excess, to breaking point. In order to do this, Little Europa imagines surreal post-European scenarios, placing mankind before the possibility of an ending.
