“If one dreams alone, it is just a dream. If we dream together, it is the beginning of reality”. Thus the director’s notes present the production by the San Patrignano artistic centre. “The Inferno celebrates human pilgrimage, the measure and rhythm of the steps”. The director Pascal La Delfa has been involved for many years in social theatre in situations of difficulty and prevention.

"I“If one dreams alone, it is just a dream. If we dream together, it is the beginning of reality”. This is the introduction to the latest production by the San Patrignano artistic centre, presented through Pascal La Delfa’s director’s notes. Performed by the youngsters of the San Patrignano Company, with original music by Nicola Rosti performed by the young members of the SanPaGroup.
From sleep to dream, a journey towards a “real life” which has been abandoned in the dark forest. From dream to symbol, the versatile symbol of vision, intuition, or the illumination of ecstasy.
The Inferno celebrates human pilgrimage, the measure and rhythm of the steps, the foot and its form.
A journey, a pilgrimage, to count our steps, to get up again if we fall, walking to stay upright, moving towards ourselves, to re-discover ourselves, able to take the risk of not passing the test.
Love and hate, pain and joy, condemnation and salvation, forgiveness and hope; these are the subjects to face during our journey with body and soul.
In Chorus and Solo, this is our - by now traditional - way of making theatre, the form of expression with which we present and examine ourselves, and which distinguishes us in the national theatrical panorama.
The director Pascal La Delfa has been involved for many years in social theatre in situations of difficulty and prevention, and in popular theatre.
The project on Dante by the San Patrignano artistic centre is supported by the Silvio Tronchetti Provera Foundation.
Duration: one hour and 15 minutes
