Stefano de Luca proposes an original and entertaining version of the two tales by the Brothers Grimm, taking his inspiration from two different musical genres. The two very colourful protagonists of Principe Ranocchio Swing - the frog and the princess - face each other in a kind of playful theatrical challenge to the rhythm of swing and jazz. Each of the two try to bring the audience to their side, stimulating it to experience the different points of view of the story. On the backdrop, in dynamic relation to the actors, poetic and evocative illustrations move. With the same viewpoint, the director sends Little Red Riding Hood through the forest to the electrifying sound of rock, along an untrodden path which, yes, will lead her to the wolf, but will also pull the young audience into the myriad shades of the story.
