The show for young audiences by Flavio Albanese, offering an exploration of the world of the genius of da Vinci, returns to the Piccolo. “Leonardo taught me not to be afraid to fly - underlines Albanese - everything is always right before our eyes, questions and answers. Thought creates matter, matter does not create thought”.
-
Teatro Strehler - Scatola Magica
“Once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return”. (Leonardo da Vinci)
Flavio Albanese tells of the life, the vicissitudes, the miracles and the secrets of the greatest genius of humanity, his very particular character, and above all his desire to learn and teach.
Why did Leonardo want to fly? The explanation comes from Zoroastro, his apprentice, his assistant and faithful friend: Tommaso Masini. He was the one who had tested one of the Maestro’s boldest inventions: the “flying machine”.
Spectators will learn the story, the humanity and above all the way of thinking of a multifaceted and highly organised genius, the symbol of our Renaissance. The main character is curiosity, the restless desire of humankind to discover, the incredible human capacity to go beyond the limits that nature seems to impose on us.
Duration: 55 minutes without interval
