The last appointment with Milano incontra la Grecia, the play In case of loss please return to... by the duo Kóka & Panú, is an examination of loss but also of the desire to return.
Teatro Studio Melato
The return of Milano incontra la Grecia, the review which brings to Milan the most creative and innovative of Greek artistic production.
The driving force of the festival, which this year will be celebrating its tenth anniversary, is the conviction that Greek culture holds valuable contemporary artistic potential that is rarely given an opportunity to emerge abroad. This is why a platform has been created for the presentation of contemporary Greek art, allowing both young and established Greek artists to present their work in Milan.
The 2019 edition of Milano incontra la Grecia presents three productions at the Teatro Studio Melato: on Monday 10 June, Clean City by Anestis Azas and Prodromos Tsinikoris, Wednesday 12 June at 8 p.m. BSTRD by Katerina Andreou, and at 10 p.m. In case of loss by Kóka & Panú (Konstandina Efthimiadou & Panagiotis Manouilidis).
In case of loss please return to… is a phrase usually found on our luggage, notebooks and personal belongings.
In this case it was the cue for the research by the artistic duo Kóka & Panú (the dancer Konstandina Efthimiadou and the musician Panagiotis Manouilidis), an investigation into loss but also the desire to return. The seductive and unstoppable movements of Konstandina Efthimiadou and the unique sound of Panú create an intense performance in which dance feeds on music and vice versa. Failing and re-starting, repeating and reconstructing, they build a visual and musical landscape of missing objects, situations and people who are seeking the way back, from Darkness to the Light. The story of an inevitable journey on the theme of the eternal return, the performance is the result of the collaboration between the two artists.
