The story of the two famous Shakespearean lovers told by three characters, Romeo and Juliet, with Mercutio, Romeo’s best friend. Alternating text from the original with summaries and comments, a fun and exciting “recipe” to venture into the words of Shakespeare in Shakespeare’s original language.

You are 15 and things are not going so well: your parents are hopeless, you live in a small provincial town full of idiots, with no hope for the future... and then suddenly... everything changes. You fall in love, life becomes an incredible adventure, and everything runs at an uncontrollable pace, just like your heart, and then? And then, at the very peak, what happens is that you die. Romeo and Juliet are not at all happy with the finale that Shakespeare wrote for them, and they are not going quietly.
Mercutio proposes that the two lovers retrace the fundamental moments of their week together, so that they may find the answers they are looking for. The characters perform the most important scenes in the tragedy in Shakespeare’s English, and then comment in modern English.
Mercutio acts as a narrator, connecting the scenes in Italian, and translates some comments from English to help the audience to understand.
