A play which is the result of a multi-disciplinary project with the pupils from prestigious Milanese academies and the Conservatory: dance, music, song, props and costumes are all created by young artists for a “complete” show inspired by La Società dell’incertezza by Zygmunt Bauman.
Teatro Grassi
Included as one of the initiatives for the European Year of Cultural Heritage, the 18th edition of Tramedautore – International Festival of Dramaturgy directed by Michele Panella, focuses on a new generation of artists from Italy, France, Spain and Germany, immersed in a period of great fragility and political, social-cultural and individual paradoxes.
In addition to the plays, the Chiostro Nina Vinchi will play host to discussions, performances and concerts.
Walk is the second edition of a project which sees the involvement of the students from two schools from within the Brera Academy - Sceongraphy and New technologies of Art - and which this year has led to very close collaboration on a creative and production level with the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory - also a partner for the last edition - and with DanceHaus Susanna Beltrami and the Claudio Abbado Civic Jazz School.
The project opens new paths on a multi-disciplinary level founded on the principle of dialogue and solid cooperation between the various languages of art, music and the performing arts.
In La Società dell’incertezza, Zygmunt Bauman speaks of “vagabonds”, describing them as metaphors of contemporary humankind in search of its own identity. The vagabond walks without purpose or horizons to reach, every stop is an end in itself and they do not stay still for long.
The search for identity, a pressing theme amongst the young particularly the youth of today, is the base concept for the scenes which make up the play. This is seen as a process, a journey, in which dance, live acoustic music or electronics, song, the use of the entire theatre building and not only the stage, the props and the costumes, are the instruments for expressive research with which the young artists recreate a stage play which aims at complete art.
