Based on the masterpiece by Virgil, the play is enhanced and contaminated by contemporary aspects. Eneide, generazioni, is the new production for both young and adult audiences. Presenting the legend of the hero in flight from his home country in search of a new destiny.

Following the success of Iliade, mito e guerra, focus is shifted to the poem of the hero in flight following the burning of the city of Troy Eneide, generazioni.
The play is based on the masterpiece by Virgil and is enhanced and contaminated by contemporary aspects.
As explained by the director Stefano Scherini, “the first adjective with which Virgil defines Aeneas is refugee and the theatre for his actions is the Mediterranean Sea. It is therefore impossible not to take this as the starting point, with that definition which leads to a condition which we know all too well in our contemporary lives”.
From this cue, the play examines a complex of Virgil’s themes. The journey of Aeneas includes the errors, the losses, the dreams, the hopes and above all the conflict between duty and desire, between fact as a sum of the precepts which identify a family and a people, and one’s own intimate desires. Furthermore, as the director highlights, “Aeneas’s relationship with his father and with his ancestors, the Penates, undoubtedly highlights the friction between different generations and desires”. These are therefore themes which are particularly interesting for both young and adult audiences. The main roles in the poems will be performed by Stefano Scherini, Giovanna Scardoni e Nicola Ciaffoni.

Tickets for all productions for the current season can be purchased up to one hour before the beginning of scheduled performances.
Reservations
Reservations are available exclusively for subscription holders. Reservations are valid up to one month before the chosen date: for example, if a reservation is made for a show performing on 15 March, the seats must be confirmed by 15 February. The reservation must be picked up by the deadline at the Teatro Strehler box office or via the box office line.
Unconfirmed reservations will be automatically cancelled.
It is not possible to make reservations less than one month before the chosen performance date.
Please remember that printed vouchers cannot be either substituted or refunded.
Oro subscription holders can cancel vouchers which have already been issued by and no later than 6 p.m. on the day before the date on the voucher free of charge.
Important information regarding Subscriptions
For subscription holders under the age of 26 or over the age of 65, the issuing of reduced-price subscriptions is possible exclusively on presentation of a valid form of identity at the Teatro Strehler box office.
Piccolo Teatro Subscription tickets provide for the assigning of seats according to availability for the chosen date and show.

La prenotazione è valida fino ad un mese prima della data scelta: per esempio, se si prenota uno spettacolo in scena il 15 marzo, occorre ritirare i posti entro il 15 febbraio. La prenotazione dovrà essere ritirata, entro la scadenza, alla biglietteria del Teatro Strehler o attraverso la biglietteria telefonica.
Le prenotazioni non confermate saranno annullate automaticamente.
Non è possibile effettuare prenotazioni con meno di un mese di anticipo dalla data scelta.
Si ricorda che i tagliandi stampati non possono essere sostituiti né rimborsati.
I titolari di abbonamenti Oro, invece, possono annullare, gratuitamente, i propri tagliandi già emessi entro e non oltre le ore 18 del giorno precedente la data riportata sul tagliando stesso.
