Cancelled Event
The continuation of the theatrical journey taken by Giulia Minoli and Emanuela Giordano with the Piccolo. Se dicessimo la verità examines collusive behaviour and recounts the strength of those instead who oppose and speak out.

Teatro Studio Melato
The fourth season at the Piccolo for the show which was created in 2011 at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples as a performance-debate on legality. Over the years, numerous collaborations have transformed it into an increasingly complete means to examine the delicate theme of criminality in Italy, beginning with the collaboration with Milan University and in particular, for the 2017 edition, with the course on Sociology of Organised Crime run by Nando della Chiesa, with whom the Piccolo has for years worked intensively, studying and reflecting on the themes of legality.
Nine years later, and with many stories told, the theatrical form has evolved thanks to a narration characterised by the need to understand our near future, threatened by a disillusion which leaves even more space for criminal power, to the “practice” of corruption as a way of living.
Se dicessimo la verità, because the truth is much more insidious and uncomfortable that we are ready to admit.
“Unfortunately, we can no longer speak only of “criminal infiltration - explain the authors Giulia Minoli and Emanuela Giordano - but of 'complicity with crime', of 'criminal practices' which we are becoming accustomed to, and for which we are, through indifference, responsible for. The theatre neither provides lessons on how to live, nor does it offer easy solutions, it provides stimuli and an opportunity to understand and reflect, this is what we are trying to do, with conviction, thinking above all of the young. We are addressing young people through work which we are, at the same time, carrying out in schools throughout Italy, in order to ensure that the play is not only an isolated event, but a part of a journey to discover themes which are fundamental for our growth”.
Duration: 60 minutes without interval
