Are the youngsters of today capable of changing society? This is the question that Aleksandros Memetaj asks, with comedy, irony and a touch of noire in the play A.CH.A.B. All chihuahua are bastards.
Teatro Grassi
Tramedautore 2019 is an examination of Euro-Mediterranean culture, intrinsically plural, creating a festival of performance that examines the rules of cohabitation, helping to reconstruct horizons and overcome solitude. Among the proposals from Italy, a focus on Sicilian drama, while on the international front the festival lends a voice to one of the most interesting artists from Kosovo and a multilingual conference/show.
As well as the shows, the Chiostro will be playing host to a cycle of 10 events, Camp degli Autori. Click here for the complete programme.
A.CH.A.B. All chihuahua are bastards
An ironic and fun play that leans towards noire, with shades of satire and extreme poetry.
The sudden arrival of a man overturns the everyday lives of three young house mates. With brilliant inventions, abuse of power and addiction to chocolate, the four turn stress and anger into creativity and a drive for a necessary change.
Aleksandros Memetaj, was born in Valona (Albania) in 1991, and was brought to Italy when he was only 6 months old. From 2011 to 2014 he attended the Fondamenta Acting Academy in Rome. In December 2015 he debuted with Albania casa mia, directed by Giampiero Rappa, a play that has been staged both in Italy and abroad. In the meantime, he began to work in television and cinema: The Miracle, Brutti e cattivi, Sulla mia pelle. He is the author of Elogio della Follia - #ilikedopamina (2018) and A.CH.A.B. – All Chihuahuas Are Bastards (2019).
