A key figure in European jazz, Enrico Intra presents a concert that was created during a period of “decisively creative seclusion”. Music played at the piano in suite form and joined, on the evening of 20 August, by the live electronics sound of Alex Stangoni.
In the event of bad weather, the shows will be performed in the Teatro Grassi.

Chiostro Nina Vinchi
On Tuesday 18 August the performance will be broadcast live at mare culturale urbano at n. 15, Via Gabetti
“One of the natural talents of living beings is the ability to hear. To hear sounds and noises, and to enjoy poetry, voices and MUSIC. But what is exceptional about this miracle is that for everyone it is a guide for invisible sound leading to an impalpable infinity”.
It is with these words that Enrico Intra presents his latest project dedicated to the Piccolo Teatro, which will take place at the Chiostro Nina Vinchi. This, again in the words of the maestro, is the destination to be reached, with Intra himself in the role of the “ferryman”: “I will lead you by the hand towards unknown destinations to be imagined, in which air, water and sound will drive the mill of imagination”.
During the period of “forced enclosure” defined by Enrico Intra as “a decisively creative seclusion”, the maestro composed 58 minutes of music that will be performed in these three special evenings at the piano in the classic suite form.
For the end of the series, the composer has provided for the presence of a “factory of sound”, in other words an electroacustic instrument, live electronics, powered and played by Alex Stangoni, a young musician. He will be echoing and amplifying the maestro’s natural flair for experimentation, proposing a unique concert born from the complicity and long-term collaboration between the two musicians. They are also the protagonists of an album version entitled Sound Planets, which was recorded at the Teatro Strehler on the occasion of the MitJazz Festival.
