Through a “comune sentire (shared sentiment)”, we - artists, impassioned listeners and organisers - now feel the fundamental need for art and culture. The title of the Festival is inspired by the new piece by Georges Aperghis, making its world debut after more that two years of extraordinary creative work and continuous dialogue with the musicians from the French ensemble L’Instant Donné. “D’un comune sentire”... extends to all the listeners the unique nature of human and musical relationships between artists and in the dialogue with composers that are able to interpret the world with imagination and criticism, each through their own original form of expression. The world of contemporary music is, in fact, populated by many differing voices. To celebrate its thirtieth anniversary, Milano Musica is embracing a number of these voices, presenting them in a mutual reflection, recognising their differences and crossing boundaries.

For the thirtieth anniversary, the programme is bringing together all the public and private institutes that over the years have worked together to create culture and look to future scenarios. Once again, the city comes together in a festival to listen to the present.
