In the words of Virgilio Sieni, “Nudità refers to the fact that there is a lone dancer on the stage who “simply” moves their body, and an undressed marionette that is “simply” a skeleton. However, attention needs to be paid to the use of the word “simply”. Life is extremely complex. Everything is extremely complex”- The choreographer and the puppeteer Mimmo Cuticchio create a play that is a meeting point between two worlds and two visions: a dialogue between the body of the dancer and a Sicilian puppet, between listening and touch. The artists have worked on the anatomy of the denuded marionette and the possibilities that the dancer’s body has to appropriate its artistic actions. The result is a representation of the way in which humanity emerges from every expression of fragility of the contrasting body and puppet. “Nudità is an expression of a form of cancellation that leads us towards a complexity.
