The show is the result of the meeting of two directors/playwrights who have both lost their fathers. They have both recognised the need to place themselves on stage, working from two different points of view; that of the fathers, who emerge from the past, and that of the children, who express their suffering in first person.
Teatro Grassi
Arturo is one of the brightest stars in the sky.
Arturo is the name of a child who is yet to be born.
Arturo is the passing of the baton from those who came before to those who are to come.
We are the bridge between two generations who will never meet.
The show is the result of the meeting of two directors/playwrights who have both lost their fathers. They have both recognised the need to place themselves on stage, working from two different points of view; that of the fathers, who emerge from the past, and that of the sons, who express their suffering in first person.
The two points of view switch, intersect and blend together, at time becoming indistinguishable, through a veritable memory puzzle, the creation of which sees the participation of the spectators themselves.
A form of real-life theatre that, through the authenticity of the main characters, blurs the boundaries of entertainment.
Laura Nardinocchi (1993), director and playwright. Her play Pezzi won the 2019 Rome Fringe Festival. She was a semi-finalist at the College-Teatro 2019 biennial with the project Sotto il disordine della realtà. In collaboration with Niccolò Matcovich, and with the co-production of the Florian Metateatro and the Teatro di Sacco, she is currently the director and playwright for the play A Fondo, which will be performed for the first time at the 2021 Todi Festival. As well as a director and playwright, she also teaches Theatre in many Rome primary schools.
Niccolò Matcovich (1989) graduated in playwrighting at the Paolo Grassi Civic School of Dramatic Arts in Milan in 2014, after having attended the Officina di Scrittura directed by Rodolfo di Giammarco in Rome in 2011. In 2016 he was one of the founders of the company Habitas. In 2017 he was singled out by the jury at the Hystrio - Playwriting Award with his work Trittico delle Bestie. Since summer 2018, he has filled the role of art director at CatellinAria - Pop Theatre Festival in Alvito (FR). He began collaborating with Laura Nardinocchi via the A fondo project.
