Published in 1980, Altri libertini is the first work by Pier Vittorio Tondelli, a journalist, essayist, dramaturg and author, who died in 1991 at the age of just thirty-six. With vivid, cruel and at times experimental language, he tells the stories of young people, often socially marginalised, in search of their own identity in late 1970s Italy. 
A work that was so revolutionary and brazen – it was even confiscated for obscenity –that it soon became a manifesto for an entire generation, contributing to the Emilia-born writer being considered one of the most important figures in contemporary literature. 
Of the six stories making up the book – “a novel in episodes”, as Tondelli defined it – Licia Lanera has chosen to work on Viaggio, Altri libertini and Autobahn, bringing them together in a single narrative that places three male actors on the stage.
