Stefano Massini has always been profoundly interested in the work of Sigmund Freud, having dedicated more than ten years of study and research to his scientific papers. The writer and dramaturg has chosen to personally take to the stage, together with three musicians, in a play freely based on the writings of the founder of psychoanalysis.

Where do we go when we dream? Why is dreaming such a vital and unavoidable human need? With what rules does one enter the phantasmagorical theatre of dreams?
Having performed to great acclaim last season, Stefano Massini returns in person to the stage to share with audiences his more than ten years of work dedicated to Sigmund Freud’s The interpretation of dreams, the work that, more than any other, shaped the entire Twentieth Century. And yet, those pages, full of “clinical cases” written with the rhythm of a film script, continue to fascinate readers of all ages.
Massini takes to the stage to present a colourful mosaic of characters, accompanied by the music of Enrico Fink, who recount their dreams, creating a symphony of images and possible interpretations, in which each and every one of us can recognise ourselves.
Duration: 100’ without intermission
