Roberto Andò directs an exceptional cast for the script written by Ingmar Bergman for his last film. A text that challenges with its crude honesty; a dance of words, silences and gestures, in which the characters from Scenes from a marriage come together once more after thirty years.

Teatro Strehler
In 2003, for what was understood to be his last film, Ingmar Bergman decided to return to the characters of Scenes from a marriage, who, thirty years on, had grown more mature and more ruthless. Theirs is a final confrontation that, in the presence of a son and a grandson, highlights the many facets of human and family relationships and their capacity to generate regret, remorse and resentment.
The mystery of love and hate, the inevitable conflict between parents and children, characterised by indifference and morbid attachment, old age, the anguish of the final days, life itself, always too great for human weakness.
Renato Carpentieri, Alvia Reale, Elia Schilton and Caterina Tieghi – under the guidance of Roberto Andò – are the cast of Sarabanda, as intense and severe as the suite by Bach from which it takes its name.
Duration: the play is currently in production
