A complex dramatical structure managed with a steady hand contains believable and dense dialogue, rich with an ironic dexterity that recalls early Woody Allen»: it was with this motivation that, in 2017, the jury of the Hystrio Playwriting Award chose Liv Ferracchiati as the winner with her Stabat Mater, the story of a writer in their thirties who is trying to become an adult and to find their place in the world, breaking free from the maternal figure and seeking to break down the most toxic of masculine stereotypes. 
With a new cast and a completely new staging, the play now returns to the theatre in a different form, with the aim of bringing back to life a project that, before everyone else, tackled politically and socially central themes such as self-determination and freedom to express one’s identity.
