A singular nocturnal exercise exploring the ghosts and the fears that we are made of, Uccellini – a show by the award-winning ensemble lacasadargilla – examines couples, couples of siblings, couples of twins, and couples of partners. From conflicting views on how to lend sense to the world, to relationships and losses. And above all, what lies on the fine line in between.

Teatro Studio Melato
A house in the forest. A house of the forest. A forest that both exists and does not exist, not exactly. The house is an environment, and yet it has a touch of the organic. It is held up by a story and by trauma. A family reunites in an unplanned and accidental manner. Uccellini, the latest work by the lacasadargilla ensemble – associated artist at the Piccolo Teatro and author of the award-winning show Anatomia di un suicidio – tells of presences and absences, of humans (dead and alive) and animals (alive and dead). Of repression and fractures, of conflicting views on how to lend sense to the world, to relationships and losses. And above all, what lies on the fine line in between.
Uccellini is a night-time exercise among ghosts, where someone (else) seems to be writing the story, listening, hidden in the forest.
Duration: 90’ without intermission
