Mariangela D’Abbraccio, Laura Marinoni, Elisabetta Pozzi in a special evening to celebrate a grand Master of Italian theatre: Giorgio Albertazzi, «an absent-minded loser, but one of extraordinary success», as he loved to define himself.
Teatro Studio Melato
An absent-minded loser, but one of extraordinary success, is how Giorgio Albertazzi loved to define himself. And Un perdente di successo (a successful loser) is the title of the evening that celebrates the talent and the story of a grand Master of Italian theatre.
On the initiative of his wife Pia Tolomei di Lippa and thanks to the participation of three extraordinary actresses who were close to Albertazzi at different stages of his long and successful career, this special tribute evening was created and performed for the first time at the Pergola in Florence, on the centenary of his birth.
The childhood, the adolescence, the family, the studies, the war, the loves and the characters of Albertazzi come to the stage, bringing together memories and writings, including excerpts from the book from which the tribute evening takes its title, adapted for the stage by Mariangela D’Abbraccio.
She is joined by Laura Marinoni, Elisabetta Pozzi and an outstanding trio: Gianluca Casadei (accordion), Massimiliano Gagliardi (piano) and Dario Piccioni (double-bass).
Duration: 100’ without intermission
