The Comedy is an infinite story made up of many individual tales; it is a great novel brimming with characters, and those characters, whether they be called Francesca or Ugolino or Ulysses or Dante, are absorbed by us, absorbing their love, their hate, their lust for life, their sense of being lost in the dark, their desire to emerge from the shadows to understand what true love really is. So why should we not also set off with the Master of the Italian language on a voyage in search of life? 
Le voci di Dante is an inner voyage in which the characters from the verses are bound to each other by a story that illuminates them with the light of the present, from the here and now. The Comedy is not ancient, and it does not belong to the past, because human passion is never ancient nor a thing of the past. The Dante who lives in the Comedy is our peer.»
