Luca De Filippo stages "Non ti pago", one of the most outstanding pieces from his father's repertoire, which the very same great Neapolitan playwright had defined "a most comic of comedies which in my opinion is the most tragic that I have ever written".

The debut of "Non ti pago" has been postponed to Thursday 12 November.
Continuing his in-depth study on his father's dramaturgy, Luca De Filippo once again takes on Non ti pago after more than 25 years – the play was already staged in the 1989/1990 season – written by Eduardo in 1940 with the author playing the role of Ferdinando Quagliuolo and his brother Peppino in the role of the antagonist Mario Bertolini.
Non ti pago is one of the most outstanding plays from Eduardo's repertoire, a play which the great playwright himself defined as "a very comic comedy which in my opinion is the most tragic that I have ever written. Ferdinando Quagliuolo, the manager of a lottery betting shop in Naples, plays obstinately without ever guessing a single number. His employee and future son-in-law, on the other hand, through the interpretation of dreams, collects win after win, even getting the "quaterna (quartet)" with the numbers given to him in a dream by his boss's late father. Blinded by burning envy Don Ferdinando refuses to pay the win and claims the right to take the sum for himself, maintaining that his father's spirit had involuntarily confused the two, mistakenly going to the old home of the Quagliolo family, where the young Bertolini currently lives.
Duration: Two hours with interval
